I am a nail polish addict. So when I happened to spot these mini beauties, during my mammoth drug store haul, (which you can view here) you can imagine my excitement! The are a part of the MUA line by Superdrug which is well known for replicating many high end cosmetic products and making them budget friendly. Several items in the range, including the nail polishes, start from just £1!

I've purchased quite a few of their products in the past, my favorite being the matte brown eye-shadow powder that I use for my eyebrows. What stopped me in my tracks this time was the redesign of the bottles. To be perfectly honest I thought they had started selling Essie polishes. However, upon closer inspection I realised they just really, really looked like Essie bottles.

And whilst I love that the bottles look better, more appealing in my collection and FINALLY have given the shades actual names - I can't help but wonder if there are any legal implications for such a blatant copy cat product!

Anyway, on to the polishes themselves: I picked up 13 of the shades and have worn four of them so far (although to show you guys I did swatch them on all my fingers), my favorite in the bunch is 'Moody Skies'. It is such a gorgeous black iridescent/gold/peal kind of colour.

Some of the polishes like 'Moody Skies' apply really well with two coats others like 'All Nude' tend to apply in a streaky fashion and so my recommendation here would be to use three thin coats to get an opaque result if you don't like a sheer finish. Compared to other 99p/£1 polishes I own, these are pretty good and again I love how pretty they look now too. I would say to go for the darker and brighter shades for less hassle as they are the non-streaky culprits!
