HAPPY 2017 Y'ALL!
I am so grateful to be able to experience this season we are in as a black woman. It's not always easy, but it's so exciting!
Anyone who is anyone can feel it in the air, that change is coming and it's gone past the point of no return, it can't be stopped.
Now more than ever, I am feeling the divide between the woman that I truly am, and the woman I have to be 'outside' fall away. Now more than ever, being able to stand completely in my blackness and be proud, is OK.
Although it may seem that mankind took a few steps back with Brexit and Trump, the people are coming together to be the change we want to see and it's beautiful. I am sure there will be a lot more pain before we see the rainbow, but I am living in a time where seeing that rainbow is a real possibility and I'm thankful for that.
